Warehouse Manager

Position: Full time

Warehouse Manager


Background

  • Works under general direction of the Plant Manager in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards
  • Employees allocated to this position are responsible for all aspects of the warehouse operation including production, safety, data accuracy, interior housekeeping and quality assurance, which satisfies production and customer demand. They exercise wide latitude of judgment in managing multiple projects and related activities

Tasks

  • Supervise / Manage and develop the warehouse staff for all STL sites
  • Oversee day to day operations of all warehouses on we operate on STL campus
  • Establish, monitor and report on metrics to drive warehouse performance
  • Develop warehouse operations systems improvements by analyzing process workflow, workforce planning, spatial requirements, and equipment layout
  • Operate ERP in your area of influence
  • Develop, supervise, execute logistics and transport operations
  • Limit inventory risks throughout the operation by ensuring all department processes are followed and update as needed
  • Hold team accountable for accuracy
  • Operate shipping documentation review
  • Assure that customer samples are prepared and delivered in a timely and efficient way
  • Oversee and execute both raw material and finished products sampling for Quality purposes
  • Maintain a positive and safe work environment through OSHA compliance and safety training
  • Oversee the scheduling of staff
  • Maintain a clean, audit ready warehouse at all times
  • Other duties may apply

Specifications

  • A progressive career track with 5+ years of operations experience in logistics, warehouse and distribution center operations
  • Change agent with vision and proven track record in continuous improvement efforts. Experience implementing Lean manufacturing
  • Energetic go-getter with a high sense of urgency
  • Flexible
  • Knowledge of:
    • cGMPs regulations (thorough level)
    • Office methods and procedures
    • MS Office software package
  • Skill in:
    • Supervising, counseling and motivating employees
    • Working effectively and efficiently on multiple projects at once
    • Working effectively in a team environment, including in-depth collaboration between production and process divisions
    • Responding to rapidly changing demands
  • Ability to:
    • Provide leadership in delivering effective and efficient packaging operations
    • Manage projects and coordinate them with other organizational units
    • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of people
    • Entrepreneurial drive with a relentless work ethic. Work independently and meet deadlines
    • Develop and manage customer/ stakeholder relationships, including negotiation
    • Exercise judgment while being insightful, logical and methodical
