Sharepoint Developer

Background 

• Expert advice to the best possible solution
• Works under general supervision in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment
• Responsible for the technical design, configuration, implementation, testing, documentation and support of enterprise-wide productivity tools. The majority of these products are Microsoft-based, but other similar tools will be included.

Tasks 

• Develop / configure SharePoint environment to support users and business requirements
• Develop, build and document specialized projects as designated by Management teams
• Proactive in learning the business and application needs of departments
• Create and update workflow to support business processes
• Utilize Visual Studio to develop extensions or interfaces related to supported systems
• Configure and support Microsoft Project Server to match company requirements
• Build reports and/or dashboards associated with data in supported systems
• Support users of Microsoft Office and other standard productivity tools
• Assist users with problem resolution
• Provide user training for supported systems
• Promote effective use of appropriate tools for specific user requests
• Document all phases of systems / projects within area of responsibility
• Evaluate current and potential software packages for satisfaction of business requirements and technical consistency
• Enforce all aspects of the company security policy within their control.
• Report regularly on technical output including quantity, quality, and timeliness.

Specifications 

• BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with functional users and technical personnel.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Visual Studio is required.
• Preferred skills include Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Office, Cisco WebEx and/or similar productivity tools.
• Ability to work directly with users to understand business challenges, interpret requirements, apply available technologies and implement or configure appropriate solutions
• Experience supporting user-facing technologies, working with users directly, training individuals or groups and creating technical or user documentation.
• Position requires a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of:
• Modern operating systems and web serving (Thorough level)
• Effective troubleshooting methodologies (Extensive level)
• Installation and troubleshooting all currently supported versions of Windows operating systems, MS Office and Lotus Notes Software
• LANs, WAN and remote communications
• Skill in:
• Dealing with problems, including follow-up
• Responding to rapidly changing demands
• Ability to:
• Develop scope and timeline on internal projects
• Identify and resolve technical problems
• Collect, process and record data accurately
• Understand detailed written and oral instruction and established procedures
