Senior Payroll Specialist

Position: Full time

Senior Payroll Specialist

Background

Works under the general supervision of the Controller to manage the payroll function and processes. Ensures payroll transactions are accurate, properly processed and properly maintained in ADP Workforce Now and other systems as required. Uses judgment and analytical skills in problem-solving.

  • Processes weekly and bi-weekly US payroll using the ADP system. Assists in monthly foreign payroll as needed.
  • Review time sheets, wage computations, and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. Work closely with HR to determine adjustments and revisions when applicable.
  • Enforces established payroll related policies and procedures.
  • Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides General Ledger support.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide high quality customer service.
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of payroll concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
  • Guides the development and maintenance of payroll checklists and procedure documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years payroll experience, or College Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a minimum of 3 years' payroll experience.
  • IT proficiency
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
