Chemical Line Operator

Position: Full time

Background

  • Works under direct supervision of the Production Training Supervisor in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards
  • Performs technical documentation duties, training development, training classes, GMP training document organization duties, special projects, and/or potentially work as a packager or operator as needed

Tasks

  • Enhance site safety
  • Perform and/or coordinate introductory training of new employees
  • Assist in the review, creation, and updating of SOP documents for all departments
  • Identify training needs and propose corrective actions for all operational staff
  • Organize GMP/Regulatory training documentation (safety, GMP, & Operator Skills), collaborating with both Quality and EHS departments on respective employee awareness development
  • Develop training program to smoothly transition existing employees into new roles
  • Develop and maintain training programs across the organization
  • Develop innovative training techniques to reduce mistakes, increase productivity, and enhance safety awareness across the organization
  • Develop and maintain training evaluation tools across the organization
  • Develop and maintain systems to optimize and troubleshoot across the organization
  • Work with On the Job Trainers in their tasks and roles to train newly transitioning employees

Specifications

  • Superior education on administrative or technical background, technical desirable
  • Three (3) years experience in Chemical Line Operations and/or Packaging
  • Knowledge of:
    • Safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
    • Training needs assessment, adult learning techniques, and course development
    • MS Office
    • Mathematics and English comprehension
  • Skill in:
    • Effective oral and written communication with all levels of staff
    • Troubleshooting and product inspection
    • Operation control and monitoring
  • Ability to:
    • Follow established policies and procedures
    • Develop and interpret training documents
    • Present information in professional and knowledgeable manner
    • Adapt to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs
    • Work off-shift/weekends as needed
    • Work in extreme cold and hot (120 F) environment
    • Ability to lift 55 pounds and drive fork truck in safe and efficient manner
    • Operate and maintain chemical processing equipment
    • Pass pre-employment physical with drug screen and physical capabilities test
