Northeast Asia Regional Sales Manager

Position: Full time.

Northeast Asia Regional Sales Manager


Tasks

  • Sells to new and existing customers, seeking to expand company's share in markets served, works cooperatively with colleagues to meet growth targets; develops and maintains customer relationships
  • Performs as first line of contact for customers with respect to technical support.
  • Works closely with Sales team to provide useful forecasting data to Operations team
  • Facilitates development of new products by qualifying customer needs, documenting specifications and technical requirements, collecting market data
  • Projects positive image of the company in all dealings with customers, suppliers, trade groups and regulatory agencies; conducts business in accordance with all applicable laws and highest ethical standards
  • Performs as customer liaison for other organizational functional groups
  • Assists in establishing sales objectives and strategies for assigned territory
  • Represents the company in trade groups, at trade shows and conferences
  • Establish personal networks and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies; reviewing professional publications

Job Requirements

  • BS in science-related field preferred
  • 5 years direct sales experience to major chemical industry accounts required; Asia/Pacific region preferred
  • International travel required (50%), throughout Asia Pacific.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Sales/marketing practices
    • Basic Chemistry.
    • Pharmaceutical/Biopharma/Nutraceutical Industry
    • MS Office computer package
    • Technical/Formulation experience with pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals a plus.
  • Required Skills:
    • Effective (being direct and concise, listening effectively) oral and written communications in English. Second language, specifically Korean or Chinese, is a plus
    • Detail oriented / organized.
    • Maximizing revenue and gross margins
    • Project management
    • Consultative and multi-function (e.g., R&D, quality, manufacturing, senior management) selling
    • Develop and maintain client relationships, including hosting entertainment
    • Effectively use data to drive improvement
    • Lead customer projects from conception to commercialization
    • Closely monitor performance issues and give prompt attention (not viewed as a 9-5 job)
    • Work independently with self-motivation
    • Present analyses to various audiences (detailed and executive summaries)
    • Adapt to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs
