Network, System and Security Engineer

Position: Full time

Network, System and Security Engineer

Position: Full time

We are a leading manufacturer of high-purity specialty chemicals for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and nutritional markets, and our business depends on a secure and reliable network infrastructure. That's where you come in! You will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our network, ensuring it is secure and available for our internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain our network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points
• Assists with software upgrades and installations.
• Monitor and manage network performance, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
• Configures and maintains Microsoft Active Directory.
• Maintains Unified Communications, VoIP, and any related equipment, services, and platforms.
• Plan and implement security measures to protect the network and systems from cyber threats
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies that may impact the network and security
• Collaborate with other members of the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of all systems and infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong technical skills in networking, security, and systems administration
• Knowledge of network protocols and services, such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networking
• Experience with network security best practices, including intrusion detection, encryption, access controls, and incident response
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
