Mechanical Engineer

Background

Works under general supervisor of the Plant Manager in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards.

Tasks

• Works closely with engineers, maintenance staff, operators and others during all phases of engineering projects from conception
• Liaison integration between operations, facilities, project engineering and science R & D labs.
• Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.
• Performs limited detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations.
• Supports team in performing spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems.
•  Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
• Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Works under close supervision 
• Identify and document via value stream map - assembly line process and performance measures and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Identify design improvement opportunities

Specifications

• Bachelors Degree in Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Engineering, Computer science, or Chemistry
• 3-5 years experience in related field
• Ability to work in extreme cold and hot environment, dust
• Comprehend oral and written English instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Develop creative solutions to complex process problems
• Meet deadlines
• Exercise judgment while being insightful, logical and methodical
• Ability to drive fork truck in safe and efficient manner
• Follow established policies and procedures
• Operate and maintain chemical processing equipment
• Adopt to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs

• Pass pre-employment physical with drug screen and physical capabilities test
