Finance Manager

Jost Chemical Poland sp. z o.o., production company in chemical/food industry, for new factory located in Kościan, PL, is currently looking for a person who will fulfill the position of:

Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the activities of the local accounting staff at the Poland plant to ensure accurate and timely completion of local accounting duties.
• Work closely with Headquarter Accounting on month-end close and reporting. Perform journal entries as required.
• Actively participate in the ERP implementation project.
• Work with various departments to monitor and control Actuals against Budget, identify areas for improvement and drive cost-saving initiatives as needed;
• Assist in maintaining an internal control environment at the Poland plant.
• Review Polish local tax returns.
• Cooperate with Headquarter and external accounting company to ensure compliance with all Company, Accounting and Government Standards, Policies and Regulations;
• Additional duties and/or projects as required.

Core Competencies:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Comprehensive understanding of inventory valuation and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to compile and interpret data, based on intuition and experience, to reach meaningful conclusions.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of eight years' professional experience in the accounting area. Manufacturing experience preferred; public accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel. Sufficient experience with financial systems in general.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Proficient in English, both speaking and writing.
