Director of Quality and Regulatory

Jost Chemical Co. is looking to hire a Director of Quality and Regulatory in St. Louis, MO, responsible for quality in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under ICH Q7A standards. The Director of Quality and Regulatory will be a member of the Management Team reporting directly to the CEO and will be responsible for:

• Developing, analyzing, and implementing programs, policies, and procedures to ensure maximum production quality, compliance to Quality Management System, and compliance with cGMP and requirements;
• Driving our overall quality strategy ensuring that the company meets and exceeds customer expectations and regulatory compliance in the production of high purity specialty chemicals for pharmaceutical, biotech, nutritional, food and other markets;
• Complete control over quality direction, staffing and leadership needs, performance management and coaching, and compensation;
• Planning, directing, and reviewing research, development, and production activities to ensure high quality of our products;
• Interfacing with customers, manage audits, and manage quality issues and complaints; and
• Hiring and supervising technicians, engineers, chemists, and researchers.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field and a Certification in Project Management. A qualified candidate must have 10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Manager or Director of Manufacturing in Operations, Quality Control or Regulatory Affairs of chemicals or biochemicals for the nutritional, food or pharmaceutical industries.

In addition, he or she must have experience with:

• Developing and managing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures;
• Defining and standardizing KPI's;
• Obtaining quality certifications;
• Implementing business policies and processes;
• Customer auditing and plant approval for customers;
• Legal compliance; and
• Hiring and supervising Quality Manager, Regulatory Affairs Manager, and Operations Manager.
