Chief Financial Officer

Position: Full time

Chief Financial Officer

Position: Full time

Background

  • Performs responsibilities on a self-directed basis with general input from the CEO and outside accounting firm (s) as required.
  • A proactive, forward thinking employee in this position is a seasoned finance leader able to apply finance expertise and business acumen through all the financial functions of a manufacturing company, as well as have experience in the areas of system implementation, international business and treasury functions.

Tasks

  • Leads and directs the global Finance and Accounting operations, which includes treasury, budgeting, strategic forecasting, audit, tax, accounting, financial reporting, inventory and costing, and risk management.
  • Serves on the Leadership Team; acts as a sounding board to the CEO, building trust as well as giving both reasoned advice and honest feedback.
  • Partners with other departments such as Sales, Purchasing, Engineering in identifying strategic opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Assists CEO in developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy, including: taking a lead role in the long-term planning and execution, creating metrics and other measures to track progress to the plan and strategies, providing periodic overviews to CEO and Advisory Board on Company performance and balancing the needs of shareholders and the Company in the development of Company plans.
  • Develops procedures and provides support in the development and maintenance of accurate costs and margin analysis.
  • Internal consultant or advisor to a variety of different stakeholders; serves as sounding board for issues that managers face.
  • Coordinates with the CEO on financing activities to facilitate Company growth.
  • Leads the ERP implementation project.
  • Manages and coordinates with external accounting firms to ensure regulatory compliance both in the US and in Poland.
  • Monitors the general economic, business, and financial conditions and analyzes their impact on the company and its operations.
  • Supports company's succession planning and talent development strategies; evaluates individual and team needs, creates development plans/goals and provides ongoing feedback and mentoring.
  • Contributes to and supports the existence of a positive work environment through personal involvement by communicating, interacting, and behaving in a manner that promotes productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, customers, vendors, and others.
  • Performs other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in Accounting and Finance with increasing responsibilities, manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing finance operations of foreign subsidiaries.
  • Experience working with, and presenting to, Advisory Board and Leadership Team.
  • Proven ability to create strategic plans and successfully execute them to obtain desired results.
  • Information Technology management experience.
