Analysis Programmer

Job description

• Responsible for converting data from project specifications and statements of problems to create/modify computer programs.  Work typically involves basic to moderately complex assignments that require some latitude for un-reviewed action or decision.
• Analyze needs and develop applications, modify existing applications as required
• Work with end users to develop project scopes, deliverables and phases, engage resources and meet milestones
• Create new and maintain existing documentation in accordance with approved standards
• Develop and apply cross-checks and audit procedures to assure accuracy, reliable practices and FDA compliance
• Develop best solutions in software needs, including reporting
• Incorporate user based security as needed in applications
• Develop prototypes for applications
• Maintain currency with programming methods, techniques and languages

Desired Skills and Experience

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent vocational training
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience with demonstrated skills in database and web based programming, script writing and client development
• Knowledge of:
• Modern operating systems and web serving
• Database development and modification.
• Crystal Reports, MS SQL, MYSQL, web based and scripting languages
• General office software and methods
• Validation and c-GMP requirements a plus, not required
• Familiarity with Lotus Script and Borland Delphi a plus, not required
• Skill in:
• Applying critical thinking, problem solving and active learning
• Working effectively independently and in a team environment, including in-depth collaboration between production and process divisions
• Responding to rapidly changing demands
• Ability to:
• Manage projects and coordinate them with other organizational units
