Job Description

Position Description:     Accounting Specialist

Reports To:                         Controller

Basic Functions: Works under general direction of the Controller in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment.

Duties:

Accounts Receivable

1. Daily Cash Application both checks and wires/ACH
2. Cash collection works with Sales team
3. Credit Requests
4. Liability insurance request
5. Processes Credit Card Activity

Accounts Payable

1. Create Positive Pay and exports to Cass Bank on a weekly basis
2. Assist the Senior Accounting Specialist with invoice entry

Bank Reconciliations

1. Domestic bank checking accounts
2. Multiple foreign accounts in Europe
3. Book bank charges

Fixed Assets

1. Track, review and close capital spending by project.
2. Update/ maintain Thomson and Reuters Fixed Asset system and book journal entries

In Process Inventory

1. Download and compile the monthly WIP inventory activity/status for month end close processing

Others

Assist the Controller as needed

Requirements:

Detail-oriented. Collaborative. Have an ownership mindset. Dependable.

Knowledge of accounting software. Experience with Sage 100 and Thomson Reuters a big plus.

Working experience in AR, bank reconciliation, and fixed assets strongly preferred.
